Steam Support

Now I would have to say My steam would have to be the most bugged on earth. Every source game I own crashes on the MOTD start, And even on L4D, if I press Tab to see scores, it will freeze. Plus when I bought gmod, It wouldn't start for me most of the time, just some stupid error. Now I thought Steam could help me with this.....I was WRONG.

The first problem I ever had with Steam was GMOD. I sent a 500 word message to steam support telling them in every detail possible what my GMOD was doing. I got an email back saying just wait a few days and steam will get back to you. 1 week later, No response still. I spammed them this message at least 20 times, each day of the week, sometimes 2 times a day. And still to this day I havn't gotten an email back yet(and yes i have checked the steam support website), and this was about a year ago.

The next error was the MOTD crashing. Now im addicted to CSS, you 100% CANNOT take a hardcore css addict away from css, and they did. It just started out of the blue, started not loading the MOTD and freezing on it.

Now I messaged the Bug Support part of CSS (in the main menu) And i email Steam support again, wondering how I can fix this problem. I searched on google and apparently its a pretty rare problem.

But Hooray I got an email back from Steam, And you know what they said.

"Sorry for the Inconvenience but this is a problem that has been going on since steam was launched. We still have not found a fix for your problem and we cannot do anything for you at the moment. If in future a fix is found, You will be emailed immediantly with furthur instructions."

WHAT LAZY FAT ASS SUN OF A BITCH IS SITTIN ON HIS ASS FIXING THIS? IT HAPPENS ON EVERY SOURCE GAME YOU DICK.

They need to get there asses into gear and start finding a fucking Fix. I've paid over 150 bucks for your source games, I DEMAND TO PLAY.

This is STEAM FFS. They have contact to valve and the owner. Why can't they help fix it? But no, They don't need valve apparently.

THEY MADE THE FUCKING GAME. I THINK THEY KNOW A TINYYY BIT MORE THAN YOU DO, SMARTASS.

Anyway theres my look on steam support. Some fatass getting paid overtime to send default emails to people are argue to randoms.

Anyone had some problem with steam support?

Never had problem, but on my laptop i can't be connect but it seems to be a vista problem .

Everyone seems to blame vista, but I have had vista ever since i started gettin into steam again, and nothing has popped up untill before. So its not vista

Yeah but i had SP1 and steam worked then i've installed SP2 and now steam don't work.

My gosh, where do I start? TF2 has been stuck at 8% for two weeks, L4D is "updating" but the %tage goes from 96 to 37 to 0%. Now it's stuck on 99% and hasn't moved since. That has happened with every game i've tried to download. When I tried to delete the .blob files that support said I should, steam said:"updating steam platform" and the %tage would go straight from 0 to 28 then stop at 99 and reset back to 0. I got knocked off of steam for a week because of that.

I have had no problems with Steam and I too have Vista.

Well... the only thing that I bought off of Steam and downloaded was Fallout 3, and it went very smoothly. I have found a few bugs in the game but not enough to cause a problem. 99% of those bugs are when the game crashes in certain spots if I aim for a certain body part using VAPS, but all I need to remember is not to do it again and everything's fine.

i just made a steam account and brought The orange box off of someone, they say that they havent got a steam account but when i try to install the orange box and put in the product code it says that it has already been activied on a different account!!??

HELP! PLZ!

You brought the orange box of someone else ? in CD ?

ok ive now bought the orange box new, and ive installed it, but when i go to play half life 2 it starts up, but only gets as far as the loading screen and then says theres a platform error!?

what do i do??

You should reload the game, that's your best bet.

If not try to run it in compatibility mode, or reinstall steam.

im new to steam and ive had some problems with it

i just bought L4D brand new in a shop, and when i put the product code in it says duplicate! i had the same problem with the orange box and had to buy a new one!

it is so annoyin! i cant play it now

I would take it back to the shop if I was you, it seems to be a problem on their part. Maybe some dick decided to take the CD key for his own steam account, lol.

OMG before i toke l4d back to the shop i sent a message to steam surport with pics of the cd key and when i went to the shop l4d was sold out so i got my money back

now i have just checked my emails and the say that they have given me l4d so i check my games list and its there! i cant belive they actually fixed my problem and in a day!

and also coz i got my money back that means i got the game for free!
